Álvaro Palacios Gratallops Vi de Vila 2021 is a testament to the unique terroir of Priorat’s Gratallops village. This blend comprises 74% Garnacha, 25% Cariñena, and 1% white grape varieties (Garnacha Blanca, Macabeo, and Pedro Ximénez). The grapes, sourced from eleven distinct parcels with vines aged between 15 and 70 years, are cultivated on the region’s characteristic llicorella slate soils.

Fermented with 40% whole clusters and matured for 14 months in French oak foudres and large barrels, this wine exhibits a vibrant profile. Aromas of red berries, strawberries, blueberries, hibiscus, and minerals lead to a medium-bodied palate with firm yet silky tannins and a refined, juicy finish. With an alcohol content of 14.5% and a low pH of 3.34, it maintains a refreshing acidity. Only 17,300 bottles were produced, making it a sought-after vintage for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
