- James Suckling – (92-93)
A subtly fruity wine with plum and currant character and hints of dried flowers. Medium body, velvety tannins and an attractive finish.
- Wine Advocate – Lisa Perrotti-Brown (90-92))
The 2018 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is deep garnet-purple colored with earthy, mushroomy notions and savory meats over a cassis and plums core plus herbs hints. The full-bodied palate is rich and packed with fruit, with firm, grainy tannins and a long finish.
- Wine Spectator – James Molesworth (90-93)
Juicy and inviting in feel, with blueberry and blackberry compote flavors. Shows a good bolt of singed mesquite through the finish. On the showy side and very tasty.
- Decanter – Jane Anson (89)
I get a little less appellation typicity than you might expect from this wine; a little less balance than in years like 2016. There’s plenty of character though, with high-impact tannins, good concentration and attractive aromatics. Impressive but lacking a little finesse.
